Powering a Decentralized Hydrogen Future
HYDGEN is a green hydrogen technology company specializing in decentralized hydrogen production solutions. Their proprietary Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) and Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzers enable industries to generate high-purity hydrogen (99.9999%) on-site, reducing reliance on volatile supply chains and lowering operational costs. These systems are modular, scalable, and designed for integration with renewable energy sources, offering efficiencies between 75% and 85%. HYDGEN's innovations utilize iridium- and platinum-free catalysts, making their solutions cost-competitive and accessible for small to mid-sized industries

Problem
Business Challenge: HYDGEN’s previous website featured a dense, text-heavy layout that made it difficult for users to quickly understand its offering. While rich in technical content, it lacked clear structure, visual hierarchy, and storytelling elements to guide user attention effectively.
Customer Impact: Industrial decision-makers exploring hydrogen solutions found it challenging to navigate the information and grasp the unique value HYDGEN provides, especially around its products, technology, and impact.
UX Gap: A redesign was needed to simplify the interface, improve navigation, visually highlight key product details and benefits, and incorporate storytelling and credibility markers ultimately creating a more intuitive and engaging user experience.

Process
We started off with gathering information from the stakeholders in order to get an understanding of what they want, followed by listing down key pointers and including various possible elements to reflect the same. The initial sketches in the ideation phase led us to various options based on different concepts which were then discussed and edited based on feedback.
Solution
The redesigned HYDGEN website introduced a refined and purpose-driven visual identity that better aligns with its role as an innovator in green hydrogen technology. Moving away from generic corporate styling, the new interface uses cool, clean tones, AI-generated visuals, and subtle animations to create a sense of trust, precision, and forward-thinking energy.
